Food and DrinkJames Griffith is the chef at the Angel Coaching Inn. We pride ourselves on offering value for money and serving excellent food using only the freshest, seasonal ingredients, many of which are locally sourced and cooked with imagination to recipes designed to make the most out of the flavours of the dish. Diners can eat either in the restaurant or in the bar or during the summer months, alfresco in the secluded courtyard garden, which leads off the restaurant. Specialising in steaks, we take pride in sourcing only the best - from the nearby Pensworth Farm and Castle Brae, in Scotland. Our fillet steak is hung for 35 days in our Ageing Rooms to give the best possible quality and taste. We have an extensive and carefully selected wine list offering several excellent quality wines served by the glass including house Champagne and a good selection of real ales. |
